Call Genie Announces First Quarter Results for Fiscal 2007

Call Genie Inc. (TSXV: "GNE"), a provider of enhanced voice directory services, today reported first quarter results for the three months ended March 31, 2007.
Revenues for the three month period ended March 31, 2007 increased to $293,363 from $115,046 for the same three month period in 2006. The increase in revenues was as a result of additional consulting services generated to support new business requirements from the Yellow Pages Group of Canada and Jingle Networks Inc. The current quarter revenues increased 12% over the fourth quarter of 2006 due to additional consulting services.
"The first quarter financial results remain consistent with our business model and our strategy of international expansion. The recent $20.0 million financing with Goldman Sachs, and Co. and the Yellow Pages Group of Canada represents a significant milestone for Call Genie. We now have the fiscal resources required to execute our business plans." said Mr. Michael Durance, the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
The net loss for the company for the first quarter of 2007 was $2,353,436 compared to $1,170,940 for the same period in 2006.
For the first quarter ended March 31, 2007, the cash used in operating activities was approximately $1.94 million compared to cash used in operating activities of $1.06 million for the first quarter of the previous year. The increase in cash flows used in operating activities for the three months ended March 31, 2007 is primarily attributable to increased personnel and operating costs used to build a Global Business Development team and further invest in the technology development.
As at March 31, 2007, Call Genie had a positive working capital of $3,697,975. Recently announced financings which have been completed in the last month will add approximately $28.5 million to working capital.
