Call Genie Amends Agreement with Yellow Pages Group in Anticipation of Expansion into Alberta and British Colombia
February 14, 2006
Call Genie Inc. (TSX-V: GNE) announced today that it has executed an amendment agreement with Yellow Pages Group in order to accommodate the expansion of the HelloYellow™ service into Alberta and British Columbia.
Call Genie and Yellow Pages Group entered into a series of agreements in December 2003, including the Enhanced Voice Directory Service Master Agreement, with the stated intention of developing and commercializing a product for Ontario and Quebec. At the time, Yellow Pages Group and SuperPages Canada were separate companies, and Call Genie was focused on those markets dominated by Yellow Pages Group. Yellow Pages Group has subsequently acquired the successor company to SuperPages Canada, Advertising Directory Solutions Holdings Inc.
"This represents a very significant milestone for both the HelloYellow™ brand and our relationship with Yellow Pages Group," stated Michael Durance, Call Genie's CEO. "Our relationship with Yellow Pages Group is grounded in creativity, mutual respect and hard work, and we are all delighted with the prospect of migrating this valuable service into Western Canada."
