Call Genie Appoints Senior Vice President to Direct Research & Development Program

Call Genie Inc. (TSX-V: GNE) announced today that it has engaged Mr. Eric Fredine as Senior Vice President, Research & Development, effective January 9th, 2006. As a key member of the senior executive team, Mr. Fredine will be accountable for the leadership and execution of the Company's research and development strategy.

Mr. Fredine brings 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and information technology fields to Call Genie which includes an executive level track record in product development and delivery utilizing a wide array of technology platforms and business models.

"Eric has had considerable experience working in both large and entrepreneurial cultures, with responsibility for driving and managing high growth situations," remarked Mr. Michael Durance, Call Genie's Chief Executive Officer. "Eric will be instrumental in crystallizing our Research & Development agenda and managing the planned growth of this critical component of our business. Clearly, he is an impressive and valuable addition to our executive team."

His accomplishments include the growth management of revenues from $3 to 30 million in less than one year, as Senior Vice President of Singl.eView Products and Services, an ADC Telecommunications company. In addition, Mr. Fredine was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Billing and Customer Management at ADC Telecommunications, where he was responsible for over 1,000 professionals and in excess of $150 million in revenues from license and service sales. At Saville Systems, Mr. Fredine played a key role as a member of the Executive Management Team in the sale of Saville to ADC for approximately $700 million.

Most recently, Mr. Fredine was Chief Technology Officer at BCE Emergis, where he reviewed a diverse range of services at varying maturity levels and identified opportunities to integrate and rationalize services to commercial success. Prior to BCE Emergis, he held senior executive positions at ACI Worldwide, ADC Telecommunications and Saville Systems. Eric also worked for Nortel Networks as a development manager in Canada and Australia and spent several years as a member of the Scientific Staff at Bell Northern Research.
